Brihati Marma
Mid-back, between the shoulder blades
How to
Using a tennis ball or similar firm object against a wall, or the fingers of both hands reaching back, press into the muscle between your shoulder blades. Hold with steady pressure.
Benefits
- A common spot for tension that's hard to reach unassisted
- Often felt immediately after long periods of sitting
- A wall or a partner's help can make this point easier to reach fully
Practice
Press for 30-60 seconds, using a wall or tool if reaching by hand is difficult.
