Sunning
Closed eyes turned toward gentle sunlight
How to
With your eyes closed, face a source of gentle natural light — early or late sun, or a bright window, never the sun directly or at midday. Slowly turn your head side to side for a minute, letting the light and warmth pass across your closed eyelids.
Benefits
- A traditional practice for easing light sensitivity over time
- The gentle warmth is relaxing in the same way palming is, from a different source
- A pleasant reason to step outside during a work break
Practice
1-2 minutes, always with eyes closed and never facing the sun directly.
