Standing Trunk Rotation
Spinal mobility, standing
How to
Standing with feet hip-width apart and arms relaxed out to the sides, gently rotate your upper body from side to side, letting your arms swing loosely with the motion.
Benefits
- A dynamic mobility movement, distinct from a held static stretch
- Loosens the whole spine and warms up the core before activity
- Doubles as a quick standing break from sitting
Practice
15-20 slow rotations total, keeping the movement controlled rather than using momentum to swing further.
