Standing Quad Stretch

Quadriceps & hip flexor release

Hips glutes

How to

Standing on one leg (holding onto something for balance if needed), bend the other knee and bring that heel toward your glute, holding the ankle with your hand.

Benefits

  • Stretches the quadriceps along the front of the thigh
  • Commonly used before or after running and cycling
  • Also opens the hip flexor on the same side

Practice

Hold 20-30 seconds per side, keeping the knees close together rather than letting the bent knee drift forward.
